Hans Goldstein is an Enrolled Agent (EA), admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, and an independent licensed insurance producer in California (CA license 4273294, NPN 20602398). He is known as the death and taxes guy: life insurance pays at death, and annuities and the money that funds them get taxed along the way, so he models the after-tax answer first. If a CD, a Treasury or doing nothing beats an annuity, he says so.
He built his own tax engine to model federal and state tax, IRMAA and Social Security taxation on real cases, has written several books on the tax math of retirement income and of selling a business or property, and publishes 300+ annuity and long-term-care reviews. He grew up a farm kid in Wisconsin, milking cows at eleven, and is based in Southern California.
