Education, not a recommendation or a quote. Rates are as of the dates shown and change often. What the finder does, and doesn't, do

The finder sorts by the questions that decide most cases: your age, what the money is for, how long it can sit, your health for life and long-term care coverage, and whether annuity money is after-tax or inside an IRA. It shows each product's downsides next to its strengths, because a recommendation that only shows the upside isn't a recommendation.

It does not quote. Rates on CDs, Treasuries, savings and multi-year guaranteed annuities come from the dated sources shown, and they change often. Life insurance prices depend on underwriting; annuity guarantees are backed by the financial strength and claims-paying ability of the issuing insurer. Hans is an insurance producer and does not sell securities, CDs or Treasuries; those appear so you can compare honestly.

Frequently asked questions

Is the product finder a recommendation?
No. It is education that shows which product types usually fit the answers you give, with dated rates and the downsides. A recommendation needs a review of your full situation.
Where do the rates come from?
From the site's dated rate benchmarks, such as AnnuityRateWatch for MYGAs, DepositAccounts for CDs and the U.S. Treasury yield curve, as of the date shown. Rates change often.
Why does it ask whether annuity money is in an IRA?
Because the tax comparison changes. With after-tax money an annuity's gain comes out as ordinary income with no step-up at death. Inside an IRA or 401(k), withdrawals are ordinary income either way.
Do I have to give my email?
No for the first answer: you see which product types fit, with one number and one downside each, without it. The full read unlocks with an email so Hans can also send a plain-English version. Phone is optional. If you add one, the notice above the button explains how Hans may call or text you about your results.
